During Prohibition, the town of Templeton, Iowa, rebelled by producing a high-quality rye whiskey that became known as 'The Good Stuff'. It quickly became the favorite whiskey of notorious Chicago mobster Al Capone. The modern Templeton Rye brand was launched in 2006, reviving this infamous recipe.

The signature Templeton Rye uses a staggering 95% rye mash bill. This extremely high rye content, combined with charred new American oak maturation, yields a bold, complex whiskey that hits the palate with intense black pepper, baking spices, and a surprisingly smooth caramel sweetness.
