Established in 1897 along the tracks of the Strathspey railway, Tamdhu was designed to bring the finest sherry casks straight from Spain to the heart of Speyside. After changing hands and facing closure, it was reborn under Ian Macleod Distillers, reclaiming its throne as a master of sherry maturation.

Tamdhu is one of the extremely rare distilleries that matures its whisky entirely from start to finish in Oloroso sherry casks. They personally select the wood from forests in Spain and cooper the casks in Jerez. The result is an intensely dark, rich spirit dripping with dried figs, dark chocolate, and roasted walnuts.
