"Made by the Sea."
"Rugged, elemental, and fiercely marine."
- Talisker Distillery
Founded in 1830 by the MacAskill brothers, Talisker is the oldest operating distillery on the unforgiving, storm-lashed Isle of Skye. The famed author Robert Louis Stevenson famously crowned it 'the king o' drinks', praising its robust and uniquely maritime character.
Talisker features distinct U-shaped lye pipes in its distillation process, which catch and return the vapor, increasing copper contact. Combined with medium-peated malt, the result is a full-bodied whisky bursting with sea-salt, fresh oysters, a comforting smoky sweetness, and its signature fiery black pepper finish.
