"The King of Islay."
"Time takes out the fire but leaves in the warmth."
- Lagavulin Distillery
Situated on the rugged southern shores of Islay, Lagavulin has been legally producing whisky since 1816. Revered as the 'King of Islay', it is universally recognized as one of the most intense, smoky, and richly flavored whiskies in the world.
Lagavulin is crafted using unusually slow distillation and uniquely shaped pear stills, creating a remarkably rich, full-bodied spirit. The signature 16-year maturation imparts a powerful peat smoke intertwined with maritime saltiness, Lapsang Souchong tea, and a surprising, sweet sherry warmth.
