"Scotland's Oldest Working Distillery."
"By hand and heart since 1763."
- The Glenturret
Officially documented in 1763, but likely operating long before, The Glenturret holds the crown as Scotland's oldest continuously working distillery. Hidden in a deep valley, it was once a safe haven for illicit distillers avoiding tax collectors.
Recently acquired by the French luxury crystal house Lalique, The Glenturret has undergone a breathtaking renaissance. With Bob Dalgarno (formerly of Macallan) crafting the whisky, it combines small-batch traditional hand-mashing with exquisite French luxury, offering profound notes of dark chocolate, rich fruit, and delicate smoke.
