Built by William Grant in 1892, The Balvenie Distillery remains intimately tied to its roots. It is the only distillery in the Scottish Highlands that maintains the Five Rare Crafts of whisky making. Generations of craftsmen have dedicated their lives to ensuring the unmatched quality of our single malt.

We still grow our own barley, malt it on traditional malting floors, maintain our own coppersmiths, employ coopers to rebuild our casks, and are guided by our legendary Malt Master, ensuring absolute control over every stage of the whisky making process.
