Founded by James Fleming in 1879, Aberlour sits at the junction of the Rivers Lour and Spey. The name Aberlour translates from Gaelic as 'mouth of the chattering burn'. Fleming's generosity built a hospital and bridge for the local community, living up to his motto: Let the deed show.

Aberlour is world-renowned for its expert double cask maturation. The spirit is aged simultaneously in American oak ex-bourbon barrels and European oak Oloroso sherry butts before being meticulously blended. This imparts deep, velvety layers of dark chocolate, spiced apple, and rich dried fruits.
