"The Golden Dram."
"Forged in gold, sweetened with honey."
- Aberfeldy Distillery
Founded in 1898 by the sons of John Dewar, Aberfeldy was built exclusively to provide the rich, honeyed heart for Dewar's famous blended Scotch. It rests on the banks of the Pitilie Burn, a pristine stream historically known for being panned for genuine alluvial gold.
The golden water of the Pitilie Burn is combined with an unusually long fermentation process in traditional wooden washbacks. This builds complex, fruity esters. When distilled and matured, Aberfeldy yields a famously rich, full-bodied spirit overflowing with sweet honey, vanilla cream, and a whisper of delicate spice.
